WHO WE ARE

The Bond University Society of Health for Indigenous and Rural Experience (BUSHFIRE) is a student-run club founded by Bond University allied health and medical students. We play an integral role in providing Bond University students with opportunities to gain skills and experience in rural and remote areas. Our ultimate aim is for our students to contribute to the services provided in these areas and to better the health of residents who live in the communities we visit.

BUSHFIRE gives Bond students multiple opportunities throughout the year to attend rural health conferences which not only are a great learning experience, but also provide students with a great networking and bonding opportunity.

Bushfire visits rural high schools throughout the year to inspire school kids to pursue a career in health sciences. We do this by talking to them about how great health careers are, and also by giving them a hands on experience with some clinical skills sessions.
